We were commissioned by The Coca-Cola Company to design a custom brand typeface for Thums Up, the largest individual carbonated soft drink brand in India. Thums Up commands a significantly higher market share in India than the flagship Coca-Cola or Pepsi brands individually.

The brand is defined by a bold, adventurous image and its legendary tagline, ‘Taste the Thunder.’ Unlike sweeter colas, Thums Up positions itself as a strong, highly carbonated drink with a spicy flavour profile built for risk-takers.

Our custom typeface embodies this rugged energy, integrating sharp, angular terminal cuts inspired by the Thums Up wordmark.

Magenos is a modern geometric sans serif family characterized by its simplicity and extensive functionality.
